Detox Soup Recipes: A Natural Way to Cleanse Your Body
Detoxing, or cleansing, diets focus on providing the body with essential nutrients while eliminating waste and toxins. There are hundreds of detox plans to choose from, with many gaining popularity due to celebrity endorsement. It is important to educate yourself before choosing a detox diet. Detoxing the body with raw, anti-fungal soups is one way to combat harmful toxins and supply the body with digestible energy. Instructions
A typical detox diet should last seven to 10 days. During the cleanse, focus on consuming freshly juiced, nutrient-rich green vegetables, including kale, spinach, cucumber, cabbage, celery, broccoli, avocado, collard greens and okra.
Chop vegetables into bite-sized chunks. Add the pieces to a blender. Puree for one to two minutes or until the vegetables are reduced to liquid form. Add more ingredients to flavor the puree as needed, such as onions, garlic, cilantro, salt, pepper and other herbs.
Heat the pureed soup on the stove for five minutes or in the microwave for three minutes, or until the desired temperature is reached.
Eat one to two bowls of soup per day during your cleanse.
