Accurately Measure Cereal: A Weight-Based Guide
Every cereal box lists a recommended serving size, based on weight and volume. However, many diets may recommend a different serving size, usually by weight or grams. If you are trying to adhere to the diet's recommendation, you may have difficulty determining the amount you should consume. However, a food scale will allow you to accurately measure the weight of the cereal.Things You'll Need
- Food scale
Instructions
Determine the amount of cereal you can have, according to your diet or food plan. This will probably be in grams.
Place your cereal bowl on the food scale and zero it, according to the scale's instruction manual. This usually only requires pushing a single button.
Pour the cereal into the bowl. Do not include milk or fruits. Read the measurement on the display.
Add or subtract cereal from the bowl until the target weight is achieved on the readout.
