Wheatgrass Consumption: Methods & Benefits - A Comprehensive Guide
Although the human stomach and intestines are not set up like those of ruminants (grass eating animals) and cannot eat wheatgrass in its original form, there are two main ways to eat wheatgrass. It can be consumed in powder form by mixing it in juice or water or sprinkling it on cereal. Or it can be consumed as a juice using a wheatgrass juicer to extract the juice from the grass.Things You'll Need
- Wheatgrass masticating juicer, for condensing
- Scissors (to cut your grass)
- Gloves (optional)
Instructions
Cut the wheatgrass from the very base of the amount you are looking to intake.
Insert the grass into the chute cap of the feeding chute and power "on."
Allow the masticating juicer to run its course.
Power "off" and remove the juice bowl from the juicer.
Pour the contents of the juice bowl into a separate drinking cup.
Drink the juice as a shot and follow it with an orange wedge if the taste is undesirable.
