Understanding and Balancing Your Body's pH Levels: A Comprehensive Guide
According to an abstract entitled "The Measurement of pH--Definition, Standards and Procedures," pH is the measure of "hydrogen ion activity" in the body. The best way to determine the body's pH balance is by using pH testing strips, which are available at pharmacies and health food stores. If the body's pH is imbalanced, which means it has a high level of "acid," it's more subject to illness. The desirable state of the pH balance is more "alkaline." There are different substances that you can either consume or avoid to ensure that the body's pH is more alkaline than acid.
