How to Look for a List of Low-Carb Foods
It is relatively easy to find lists of low-carb foods, but one must be wary of certain misunderstandings about carbs in order to effectively navigate the Internet and the grocery store. A low carb diet can be a great way to shed pounds and get healthy, and understanding how to find the best information is key to success.
Instructions
Create a list of search terms to use online. You might type these in a word document, so that you can easily copy and paste them into search engines later.
Think about your dietary needs when making these search terms. If you are a vegetarian, or you prefer a low-sodium diet, you might want to list search phrases such as "low carb vegetarian foods" or "low sodium low carb foods."
Enter your search terms into a search engine such as Google or Yahoo. Hit "Search" and see what hits pop up.
Once you've found several lists, compile your own list of foods you like that are present on low-carb food lists. This is the easiest way to create a low-carb diet that you can stick to.
If you're unsure about a food and whether it's truly low in carbs, do extra research targeting that specific food. Your search terms might look like:
"carbohydrates in broccoli" or "red wine and carbs"
