How to Use Lime Juice for Toothaches
Toothaches are an almost universal annoyance, affecting all of us at some point. Dental pain is usually a serious sign of a problem like a cavity; when you experience prolonged pain in a tooth, the best thing to do is call a dentist and make an appointment. Before you can see your dentist, you still have to deal with what can often be an agony in your mouth. A simple homemade solution involving lime juice can be effective at cutting down on the discomfort.Things You'll Need
- Limes or lime juice
- Asafoetida
- Cotton or gauze
- Heat source
Instructions
Squeeze the juice from one lime into a small pot.
Grind a tablespoon of asafoetida into a powder. Add the powder to the lime juice and stir.
Heat the solution of lime juice and asafoetida over low heat, stirring constantly. When the solution is combined and heated through, remove from heat. Allow it to cool to a comfortable temperature.
Dip cotton or gauze into the solution and apply to the gum around the aching tooth.
