Denture Mold vs. Dentures: Understanding the Difference
A denture mold is not the same as a denture. A denture mold is a negative mold of the mouth and teeth that is used to create a denture. The mold is made from an impression material, such as alginate or plaster, that is poured into the patient's mouth and allowed to harden. The denture is made by filling the mold with a mixture of acrylic resin and water, and then heating the mold to cure the resin. The finished denture is then removed from the mold and trimmed and polished to fit the patient's mouth.Toothache - Related Articles
