When does a lip piercing start to feel normal?

Lip piercings may take anywhere from 2 to 6 months to heal. During the healing process, the piercing may feel sore, swollen, and slightly tender. As the piercing heals, the discomfort will gradually decrease and the piercing will start to feel more normal.
