  Twist the bottom of the Listerine pen one to two times so that the sponge-tip applicator displays a few drops of whitening gel. Avoid over twisting to the point where the product leaks off the tip. Upon first use, you may have to twist the pen a few more times.

  Apply the gel to the surface of three teeth, making sure not to skip the area along your gum line. Twist the pen up to two times to display more product and apply it to three other teeth. Repeat the application process until all desired teeth are covered in a thin layer of the gel.

  Avoid smoking, drinking and eating for 30 minutes after applying.
