How to Remove Fixodent
Removing your dentures is an important part of keeping your dentures clean. You will need to remove them daily to clean them thoroughly. However, when you remove your dentures, you may notice some adhesive residue still in your mouth. If you use Fixodent adhesive, you can easily remove the residue without irritating your mouth. You can also remove any residue that you find on your dentures while cleaning them.Things You'll Need
- Denture cleanser
- Soft-bristled toothbrush
- Glass
- Water
- Toothpaste
Instructions
Remove Fixodent from Dentures
Scrub the denture cleanser over the affected area with a soft-bristled toothbrush. You can also use toothpaste if denture cleanser is not available.
Rinse the denture under water.
Continue scrubbing with the denture cleanser or toothpaste and the soft-bristled toothbrush.
Rinse and dry the dentures completely.
Store the dentures in a glass of water. The water should cover the dentures.
Removing Fixodent from Palate
Rinse a soft-bristled toothbrush under hot water. The water should be as hot as you can handle without burning your mouth. The hot water will help dissolve the Fixodent. Apply toothpaste to the brush.
Brush your teeth, gums and palate. Do not brush too hard. Allow the water to loosen the residue.
Rinse your mouth with the hot water, being careful not to burn yourself.
Repeat if you feel any Fixodent residue in your mouth.
