Tooth Pulp: Structure, Function, and Importance
The part of the tooth that contains a rich supply of nerves and blood vessels is called the pulp. The pulp is located in the central cavity of the tooth and is made up of connective tissue, blood vessels, nerves, and odontoblasts. Odontoblasts are cells that produce dentin, which is the hard tissue that makes up the majority of the tooth. The pulp is also responsible for providing nutrients to the tooth and for transmitting sensory information to the brain.Root Canals - Related Articles
