Seneca Women's Traditional Clothing: History & Adornment

The Seneca women wore knee-length deerskin dresses, tied at the waist with wampum belts. They wore moccasins and leggings, and in cold weather, they wrapped themselves in fur robes. They adorned themselves with jewelry made from shells, beads, and feathers. Seneca women also wore tattoos and face paint.
