Eliminate Cigar Breath: Proven Tips & Tricks
Many people enjoy a good cigar after dinner or on special occasions. While the strong smell of cigar fills the air, it also affects your breath. Long after your cigar has been snuffed out, the pungent smell can linger on your breath, notifying everyone within speaking distance that you were smoking a cigar. Avoid embarrassment by getting rid of cigar breath and replacing it with fresh breath.Things You'll Need
- Fresh lemon slice
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrush
- Mouthwash
- Cinnamon hard candy
Instructions
Suck the juice out of a fresh lemon slice. Allow the juice to remain in your mouth for several seconds and swish it around, if there's enough, then swallow. The citric acid in the lemon juice neutralizes the cigar odor and freshens breath.
Brush your teeth with regular toothpaste. The toothpaste and scrubbing motion of the brush help remove odor-causing cigar residue from your teeth, mouth and tongue. Brush the tongue, as well, to make sure you don't leave any odor behind.
Rinse your mouth with mouthwash that contains citric acid. This will neutralize the smell and clean your breath.
Allow a cinnamon hard candy to slowly dissolve in your mouth. When you're away from home and don't have access to the other necessary breath-freshening supplies, a cinnamon hard candy is strong enough to temporarily rid your breath of stale cigar odor.
