Dental Bartering: Exchanging Services for Denture Extractions
Bartering services in exchange for services has been around almost since the beginning of time. It is still a transaction between two business people, only in this case they are exchanging services, not money. Approaching the owner of the dental business is the prudent thing to do, if you feel you have something to barter for services.
Instructions
Contact the dental office. It can be your own dentist whom you have already seen, or a different office altogether. If you don't already know, inquire as to ownership of the practice. Inquire as to whether the owner is herself a dentist in the practice.
Approach the owner. Take him out to lunch to discuss a bartering proposition or discuss it on the phone if he doesn't need a personal meeting.
Determine and ensure what you barter is of equal or greater value than work needed from the dentist. Be ready with numbers. Your barter should be at least worth the cost of treatment, but extra as well, for the dentist agreeing to it.
Discuss your dental needs with the dentist. Tell her what you are willing to exchange for these services.
