The History of Sanitary Napkins: Who Invented Them?
Sanitary napkins were invented by women. The earliest recorded instance of a sanitary napkin was in 1896, when an American woman named Mary Kenner designed a belt to hold a pad of cloth against the body. In 1914, a nurse named Lillian Gilbreth invented the first disposable sanitary napkin, which was made of cotton and cellulose. In 1921, a company called Johnson & Johnson began marketing sanitary napkins under the brand name "Modess". Today, there are many different brands and types of sanitary napkins available on the market.Fillings - Related Articles
