Pistachios and Braces: A Dentist's Guide to Safe Eating
While you can technically eat pistachios with braces, it is not recommended. Pistachios are a hard nut, and can easily damage your braces. The braces can trap pieces of the nut in the brackets and wires of your braces, which could lead to bending, breaking, or loosening the brackets. Additionally, biting down on a pistachio can exert a lot of force, which could cause your braces to become loose. It's best to avoid eating pistachios and other hard nuts until your braces are removed.Braces - Related Articles
