Proper Disposal & Recycling of Used Brace Wax: A Guide
There are a few different ways to dispose of used brace wax.
1. The best way to dispose of used brace wax is to recycle it. Some recycling centers accept brace wax, so you can check with your local recycling center to see if they accept it.
2. If your local recycling center does not accept brace wax, you can dispose of it in the trash. However, it is important to make sure that the brace wax is completely wrapped up in a sealed plastic bag before throwing it in the trash, so that it does not stick to anything else in the trash can.
3. Some schools or dentists' offices may also have collection bins where used brace wax can be recycled. Ask your child's dental office if they have a way for you to recycle brace wax.
4. Finally, if your child still has some used brace wax left after they are finished with their braces, it can be dropped off at a local hazardous waste disposal facility.
It is important to dispose of brace wax properly so that it does not end up in the environment, where it can harm wildlife and plants.
