Changing Braces Color: What You Need to Know During Orthodontic Checkups
In general yes, it is possible to change the ligatures (small coloured elastic that hold the orthodontic arch wire to the brackets) during routine orthodontic check-ups. Some orthodontists may make the colour change while some may not, it is mostly upon request from the patient. However, more extensive changes such as changing the brackets themselves (which are usually metal and cannot be changed for coloured versions) cannot be done during routine check-ups but may be possible by scheduling an additional appointment.Braces - Related Articles
