Pregnancy and Toothbrushes: Separating Fact from Fiction

It is impossible to get pregnant from a wet toothbrush. Pregnancy occurs when a sperm fertilizes an egg. Sperm cannot survive outside the body for long, and they need a moist environment to swim. A toothbrush is not a suitable environment for sperm to survive, so there is no risk of pregnancy from using a wet toothbrush.
