If you have a chest wound should elevate the legs?
No, elevating the legs would worsen the condition of the patient by increasing heart rate/respiration as a compensatory response resulting in an increase of chest movement and worsening oxygen desaturation.For any penetrating injury it is recommended:
* Call 911 * Place a dressing to cover injury
* Do not remove object
* Try to immobilize
