Meniscus Tears: Understanding Severity and Multiple Tears
Complex/Bucket Handle Tear: is the worst type of meniscus tear. It occurs when the inner rim of the meniscus is completely torn and displaced into the joint, resembling the handle of a bucket. This type of tear is difficult to repair and may require surgical intervention.
Multiple Meniscus Tears: It is possible to have two or more meniscal tears at the same time. This can occur due to a traumatic injury or as a result of degenerative changes in the knee. Multiple tears can make treatment and recovery more challenging.
