A foot cramp occurs when the muscles in your feet contract. A cramp may be short and pass quickly or last for long periods of time and cause your foot to curl inward. Instructions
Take a pain killer, such as aspirin, to relieve the cramp.
Pull your foot gently into the proper position if it has curled from the cramp. Hold your foot in this position and massage it until the cramp goes away.
Wrap an ice pack around your foot if the cramp was caused by an injury. Consult your doctor for treatment.
Soak your feet in warm water at least once a day if the foot cramps persist.
Do not stand for long periods of time. Wrap an elastic bandage around your foot when you are walking. Consult your doctor for medical treatment if you are experiencing constant foot cramps.
