How to Remove Tick Stingers
When you notice a tick on your body, it's important to remove it as soon as possible to reduce the potential for illness and infection. Removing the tick from your skin is an easy procedure, but should be approached delicately as it can be difficult to discern how deep the tick has burrowed into your skin. Generally, the longer that it's been there, the more likely it is to have burrowed deeper.Things You'll Need
- Tweezers
Instructions
Grasp the head of the tick using your tweezers ensuring that the tweezers are going to pinch off as much of the tick as possible.
Begin to pull straight back slowly, applying steady and firm pressure to the tweezers.
Continue to pull the tick straight back while you grasp it's head tightly until it is pulled off of your skin.
