Heberden's Nodes: Understanding Treatment & Pain Relief

There is currently no known cure for Heberden's nodes. Treatment focuses on managing the pain and discomfort associated with the condition. Conservative measures such as resting the affected joints, using heat or cold packs, and taking over-the-counter pain medications can often provide relief. In some cases, more aggressive treatments such as cortisone injections or surgery may be necessary.
