How to Alleviate Symptoms of Shingles
If you, a loved one or a friend is suffering from shingles (herpes zoster), no doubt you would like to learn how to alleviate the itchiness, pain, tiredness and other problems this virus brings.
Instructions
Visit your physician to determine if you have shingles.
Follow the instructions regarding any medication and faithfully take it.
Take supplements. Vitamins A, C, E, and the B-complex will ease some of the symptoms plus bolster your immune system. B-complex supplements are a great help, since shingles is a problem of the nervous system. Adding additional B12 has been used by others for relief. Vitamins A, C, and E will help in the healing of the skin. Calcium and magnesium will aid the healing of the affected nerves.
Take the proper dosage of any over-the-counter pain reliever that your doctor recommends.
Use topical remedies, like vitamin E. Snip the end of a capsule, squeeze the contents onto your hand and apply it to the affected places. A friend will have to do this for you if the blistering has occurred on your back. Use additional capsules as needed. Topically treat the affected areas at least twice a day.
