Urn Odor: Understanding and Preventing Unpleasant Smells
Urns are containers used to hold the cremated remains of a deceased person. They are typically made of materials such as ceramic, metal, or wood, and can be sealed to prevent any leakage of the cremated remains. As long as the urn is properly sealed and maintained, there should be no bad smell emitted from it.
However, if the urn is not properly sealed or is damaged, it is possible for the cremated remains to come into contact with air and moisture, which could cause them to decompose and emit a bad smell. In such cases, it is important to contact a funeral director or crematory to have the urn resealed or replaced.
