Vas Deferens: Function, Anatomy & Sperm Transport
The vas deferens is a muscular tube that connects the epididymis and the urethra. It is responsible for transporting sperm from the epididymis to the urethra during ejaculation. The vas deferens is lined with ciliated epithelium, which helps to propel the sperm forward. It is also surrounded by a layer of smooth muscle, which can contract to help expel the sperm during ejaculation.Urinary Disorders - Related Articles
