How to Quickly Treat Urinary Tract Infections
I am one that suffers from chronic urinary tract infections. Here are some ways I treat, prevent and relieve the symptoms.
Instructions
Recognize the symptoms. Painful urination, cloudy urine, urge to urinate, burning/stinging sensation while urinating, blood in urine. For me, the first sign of infection is cloudy urination, urge to urinate after just urinating, and burning sensation.
At first sign, drink plenty of fluid. I usually try to drink a 16 oz bottle water at the first signs of urinating. Usually water will relieve the burning and urge to go once it gets through your system.
Drink cranberry juice. It's hard for me to find pure cranberry juice and I hear it's not pleasant to drink anyways. I usually go for the cranberry juice cocktail (contains 27% juice). While I sip on that, I also drink water to help dilute the sugars. An alternative to drinking the juice is to take a cranberry supplement. It's like juice in capsule form.
Take 1 capsule of Enchinacea. Some studies have shown this to be antibacterial and antifungal. I find that it helps in flushing out the bacterial.
Take some vitamin C. Vitamin C can help raise the acidity level in your urine which will make it harder for bacteria to reproduce.
