How to Adjust a Rem-Star CPAP
Remstar is one brand of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines. This device is a common treatment for people who suffer from a disorder called sleep apnea. It causes them to stop breathing periodically while they sleep. Your doctor will prescribe a specific CPAP setting to suit your individual needs. It's best not to use a different setting other than the one prescribed. If your doctor approves your changing the setting on your CPAP, use the buttons near the display to adjust the air pressure.
Instructions
Check that the CPAP is plugged in and turned on. The airflow should be turned off to change the settings.
Press the "Ramp" button to open the settings menu.
Locate the word "Menu" on the display. Press the button below "Menu."
Press the button below "Yes" when the display reads "Change Settings?"
Read the minimum ramp pressure setting in the display. If the setting is incorrect, press the button underneath "+1." Continue pressing this button until the correct setting appears. Then press the button underneath "Yes" to save your new setting.
