Natural Blackhead Removal: Effective DIY Remedies for Face & Chest
For some people, store-bought lotions and treatments just don't do the trick for clearing up blackheads, or perhaps they just don't like the idea of harsh chemicals on their skin. If you're one of those people, you can turn to a host of natural remedies. With the right regimen, you can cleanse your skin and eliminate blackheads for good.Things You'll Need
- Washcloth
- Bowl
- Towel
- Fenugreek leaves
- Lemons
- Rose water
Instructions
Wash your face daily or even twice daily with a warm, wet washcloth. Keeping the skin clean will keep oil and dirt from clogging your pores and forming blackheads.
Fill a bowl with very hot water and then place your face a few inches from the surface of the water to steam the blackheads you already have. Drape a towel over the back of your head to prevent the steam from escaping. Take the warm washcloth and gently squeeze the skin with the blackheads to remove them.
Grind fenugreek leaves --- available at most health food stores --- into a paste and spread it on the blackheads. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes before washing it off with warm water.
Squeeze a couple lemons and mix the lemon juice with an equal amount of rose water --- also available at health food stores --- and then rub the mixture on your face. Wash your face with water after about 15 to 30 minutes.
