Corn Starch for Rosacea: Relief & Redness Reduction | [Your Brand/Website Name]
Rosacea is a skin disorder that causes facial skin to become red and inflamed. There are ways to stop flare-ups, such as avoiding excess heat, wearing sunscreen and taking prescription medication. Corn starch has been proven to work for some patients to help reduce the redness and sensitivity of rosacea. The corn starch can be applied every day after cleaning the face. After treating the skin with corn starch, makeup can be applied as usual.Things You'll Need
- Mild soap
- Corn starch
Instructions
Wet your face with warm water in the shower or sink basin.
Lather a mild soap in your hands and apply to the affected areas of your face. Rub gently to avoid irritating the skin. Washing your face removes any makeup, oil, dirt or buildup that could interfere with the corn starch's ability to soothe the skin.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water until all soap is removed.
Dry your face completely using a clean towel. It is important that there is no moisture left on your skin.
Apply a thin layer of corn starch to your face using your hands or a makeup brush. Dust off the excess powder. The corn starch will remain dry and stick to your skin in the same way makeup does. The corn starch should remain on your face all day until you wash it that evening. The redness from rosacea can be treated but not cured, so you will need to continue to apply the corn starch as often as needed to soothe your skin and reduce redness.
