Scabies and Tanning Beds: What You Need to Know

Scabies is caused by a small mite called Sarcoptes scabiei which is transferred from person to person through close skin-to-skin contact or, less commonly, by sharing clothing or bedding.

Tanning beds do not transmit scabies.
