How to Clean Out a Toe Joint
Over time, dirt and grim builds up between your toes near the join. Left untreated, bacteria lead to fungal infections such as athlete's foot. The good new is that if you take steps on occasion to keep your toes clean you can avoid infections like these. It doesn't require expensive treatments and it won't take more than a few minutes of your time.
Instructions
Remove your shoes and socks. Dampen a washcloth with a mixture of regular soap and water.
Run the washcloth in the area between your toes over the skin. This is the area where fungal infections are likely to occur because they can be moister than other parts of the foot.
Clean the areas between your toes thoroughly with the washcloth. If you can, try to do this twice a day. You can do this in the shower if it is more convenient.
