The skeletal system has five main functions:
1. Support: The skeletal system provides support for the body and helps to maintain its shape. It gives the body structure and allows us to stand upright.

4. Blood Cell Production: The bone marrow, which is located inside the bones, produces red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Red blood cells carry oxygen to the body's tissues, white blood cells fight infection, and platelets help to stop bleeding.
5. Movement: The skeletal system works together with the muscular system to allow for movement. The muscles attach to the bones and pull them, causing the body to move.
