Adult Scoliosis: Understanding Rapid Onset & Progression

There are no conditions that result in the rapid onset of scoliosis in adults. This may occur in pediatric (childhood) cases. Adult scoliosis normally progresses very slowly, often at a rate of progression below what can be visually seen over the span of an entire year.
