* Congenital talipes equinovarus (clubfoot): This is the most common cause of inversion foot. Clubfoot is a birth defect in which the foot is turned inward and downward.* Tarsal coalition: This is a condition in which two or more bones in the tarsus (the bones of the ankle and hindfoot) are fused together. Tarsal coalition can cause the foot to turn inward.
