Where are the pulses of foot?
The foot has several pulses that can be felt:
- Dorsalis pedis artery: This pulse is located on the top of the foot, between the big toe and the second toe. It is the easiest pulse to feel on the foot.
- Posterior tibial artery: This pulse is located on the back of the foot, just below the ankle. It is deeper than the dorsalis pedis pulse and may be more difficult to feel.
- Peroneal artery: This pulse is located on the outer side of the foot, just below the ankle. It is the smallest of the three foot pulses and may be difficult to feel.
The pulses of the foot can be used to assess the circulation to the foot. If a pulse is weak or absent, it may indicate a problem with the blood flow to the foot.
