There are many over the counter creams that can help assist with Athlete's Foot. Some of the anti-fungal creams available include: Tinactin, Micatin, or Lotrimin AF.
If an anti-fungal cream does not help a person may have to visit a doctor for a stronger prescribed medication.
The next step is to prevent future outbreaks. Athlete's Foot can happen again and again so if you use a public shower it is always a wise idea to wear sandals while doing so.
Try to wear shoes that allow a lot of air flow.
If you must wear closed toed shoes then try using Talcum powder inside them. It will keep your feet dry and help keep Athlete's Foot away.
