Shingles is not contagious as such. It is caused by the chicken pox virus already in your body that has been dormant since you first had chicken pox. While you cannot pass shingles on to anyone, you can pass the chicken pox to someone who has never had it.Things You'll Need
- Person with shingles
- Someone who has never had chicken pox
Instructions
The blisters of the person with shingles must be broken.
The broken blister must come into contact with the skin of the uninfected person.
The fluid in the blister must touch the uninfected person's skin.
