Fort Detrick Anthrax Discovery 2007: A Historical Overview

In October 2007, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) discovered live anthrax in a storeroom that had been closed since the mid-1960s at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland. The live anthrax was contained in sealed glass vials that may have dated back to World War II.
