Herbalife Rash: Potential Skin Reactions & Reported Cases
There have been reports of skin rashes associated with the use of Herbalife products, including the following:
- A 2004 case report described a 27-year-old woman who developed a pruritic, erythematous rash on her face, neck, and chest after taking Herbalife products for 6 weeks. The rash resolved after she stopped taking the products.
- A 2007 study reported that 2 out of 100 patients with allergic contact dermatitis had a positive patch test to Herbalife products.
- A 2010 study reported that 1 out of 17 patients with allergic contact dermatitis had a positive patch test to Herbalife products.
The cause of the rash is not known, but it may be due to an allergic reaction to one or more of the ingredients in the products.
If you develop a rash after using Herbalife products, you should stop using them immediately and see a doctor.
