Dorsalgia: Understanding Back and Neck Pain - Symptoms & Causes
Dolsalgia is a condition characterized by back pain.
The term is also used to describe lower back pain. More specifically, it is severe pain in the lumbar region of the spine, radiating to the buttocks and/or posterior/lateral aspects of the thighs, and accompanied by stiffness and sometimes referred to as "low back pain" (LBP) or "lumbago".
The term may also occasionally refer to pain in the neck ("cervical dolsalgia") or to pain in the thorax ("thoracic dolsalgia").
