Neurontin is used to help control partial seizures in adults whether the seizures become general seizures and cause unconsciousness or remain partial seizures.
Postherpetic Neuralgia (Shingles Pain)

In patients who have had shingles (herpes zoster), Neurontin is sometimes used to treat the nerve pain that remains after the condition goes away.
Peripheral Neuropathic Pain

Although this is an off-label use, Neurontin can be used to treat nerve pain in the hands and feet in people with diabetes, as well as other types of nerve pain.
Migraine Prophylaxis
