Masseter & Temporalis Muscle Tone Loss: Jaw Drop & Functional Impairment
If tone were lost in the masseter and temporalis muscles, the lower jaw could drop down completely if it isn't supported which would impede talking, chewing, drinking, and possibly breathing by occluding (blocking) airway passage.
