Credé Maneuver: Technique and Application for Patients Unable to Valsalva
Credé maneuver (suprapubic pressure)
- Patient in supine position.
- An open palm is then used to apply firm continuous pres- sure, cephalad (upward) on the bladder, below the umbilicus in an attempt to express urine.
Patient who is unconscious or obtunded and unable to perform a valsalva:
