The prostate is a gland that sits in front of the rectum in males. The prostate is responsible for the flow of fluids out of the body. When the prostate gets infected, some symptoms can be seen.

Temperature

• If the prostate is infected, the body can go through temperature extremes, such as a fever and chills.

Sexual Problems

• Erections can be hard to get and maintain. The semen and urine can have blood in it.

Painful Urination

• When you are trying to urinate, the stream can be smaller, and you might feel pain.

Stop & Go

• You may have to urinate frequently, or you may not be able to urinate at all.

• The lower back and upper thigh can experience discomfort, if the prostate is infected.
