Baking Soda for UTI: Home Remedies & What You Need to Know
Urinary tract infections (UTI's) are usually caused by the presents of bacteria, usually ecol in the urinary tract. UTI's are most often found in women. The causes include; sexual intercourse, multiple sexual partners, birth control, and prolonging urination. Some of the symptom are; Frequent urination, cloudy urine, and pain when urinating. The good news is that UTI's can be treated at home without using harmful medications or drugs.
Instructions
Mix 1/2 a teaspoon of baking soda in 8 ounces of a water and drink and a day. The baking soda helps to increase the pH value of acidic urine and eliminates bacteria and fungi which cause urinary tract infections.
Take vitamin C supplements or increase vitamin C to balance the acid to alkaline levels in the body.
Drink 6-8 cups of water a day to flush out the bacteria.
Avoid alcohol, sugary drinks and artificial sweeteners. Should find relief from symptoms in a few days. Continue intake until symptoms are completely gone. If symptoms persist see a physician.
