What are contraindications to renal angiography?
* Severe renal insufficiency: The contrast dye used in renal angiography can worsen kidney function in patients with severe renal insufficiency.* Uncontrolled hypertension: High blood pressure can increase the risk of complications during renal angiography.
* Active bleeding: Bleeding can increase the risk of complications during renal angiography.
* History of contrast allergy: Patients who have had a previous allergic reaction to contrast dye are at increased risk of having another reaction during renal angiography.
* Uncooperative patients: Patients who are unable or unwilling to cooperate with the procedure are at increased risk of complications.
