What are signs of kidney infections?
Signs and symptoms of a kidney infection (pyelonephritis) may include:
High fever

Back pain or tenderness, just below the ribs on either side of your spine
Frequent urination
Burning sensation when you urinate
Cloudy, dark, bloody or foul-smelling urine
Nausea and vomiting
Fatigue or weakness
Diarrhea
Unexplained weight loss
Seizures (rare)
