Puberty: Understanding the Maturation of Reproductive Organs
The stage at which a person's reproductive organs mature is called puberty. It typically occurs between the ages of 10 and 14 in girls and 12 and 16 in boys, but there can be significant variation. During puberty, there are a number of physical and hormonal changes that occur, including:
